“我叫陈涓，来自湖北宜昌，我是一名土家族姑娘。”一身粉色民族服饰打扮，陈涓一登上《中国达人秀》的舞台就让人眼前一亮。
简单的自我介绍后，陈涓带来了土家族民歌《清江恋歌》。“土家有条清江河哎……”一开口，豪迈粗犷的男声立即惊艳全场，让苏有朋、刘烨两位观察员惊讶不已；“今儿个不把别的唱啰，唱一曲妹娃儿我要过河……”歌路一转，清脆嘹亮、柔情似水的女声陈涓也精准拿捏，令人在场观众拍掌啧啧称奇，就连在一旁的程雷也称赞说：“人美歌美，色艺双绝。”

在提及自己的梦想时，陈涓说，土家族有很多好听的歌曲，如果可以，她希望可以带着她的歌声，唱给更多的人听；能够带着歌声，走遍世界更多的地方。

“来到《中国达人秀》心里还是挺怵的，因为在这个舞台上能人太多了，很担心不能完全靠唱歌打动观众和观察员。”陈涓说，节目组的导演多次打电话邀请她参加节目，并发来东方卫视中心邀请函，说她的声音很独特。于是被导演的真诚所打动的陈涓登上了《中国达人秀》的舞台。
2013年12月27日晚陈涓飞赴上海，28日参加节目录制。“我登上过很多舞台，也享受每一次站在舞台上唱歌的机会，所以那天一点没觉得紧张，反而很放松觉得很好玩。”陈涓笑着告诉记者，她被安排在晚上比赛，下午闲着的时候她还请编导带她溜进录制现场，去欣赏了半场其他了选手的表演。
正式表演时，陈涓带来的是一首《清江恋歌》。“这首新歌既表述了世代相传的土家儿女对清江的无限眷恋，又展现了八百里清江迷人的风景和绚烂的民族风情。我很希望把这首歌推荐给大家。”
精湛的演唱结束后，曾成功包装大、小S的金牌制作人王伟忠对陈涓赞许有加，中肯的意见给了陈涓莫大的鞭策和鼓励。
