2012年6月5日晚，湖北省公安厅在湖北剧院隆重举行“警星耀荆楚——全省公安功模表彰大会文艺晚会”。陈涓受湖北宜昌市公安局之邀参加演出，表演了一首土家风情浓郁的歌曲《土家劝酒歌》。
陈涓身着土家族靓丽男女演出服，用女声和男声演唱，现场有18位土家族舞蹈演员伴舞。整首歌共4段，

《土家劝酒歌》是由土家族著名音乐人谈炎炎作词、杨君作曲。歌词经过湖北电视台文字编辑稍作修改，歌曲围绕歌颂警民一家亲、盛世乐悠悠，晚会是功模表彰庆功大会，歌曲为给功模们敬酒而展开，歌曲紧扣晚会公安表彰主题。
整场晚会以“警星耀荆楚”为主题，所有节目都是由各市、州公安局自编、自演。晚会以歌舞、小品、情景剧、诗朗诵等多种艺术形式，讴歌了近年来全省公安机关涌现出的一批公安英雄模范集体和个人，充分反映了全省公安工作和队伍建设取得的丰硕成果。
湖北公安英模辈出，荆楚大地警星争辉，湖北省共有13位民警被授予全国公安英雄模范称号，847位民警荣立一、二等功，一、二级英模人数达到81人，总数在全国位列第四。
