2011年1月初，央视新闻频道春节特别节目--《说民俗 找年味》栏目组导演就向陈涓发出邀请，邀请陈涓这个可爱大方的土家族歌手，在腊月二十九日，也就是除夕前一天，在央视新闻频道和主持人赵普一起向全球华人介绍＂二十九 蒸馒头＂及土家族过年的民俗。节目已于1月28日在中央台顺利录制完成，将于2月1日（腊月二十九）零点二十分在新闻频道的《午夜新闻》栏目中首播。
节目中，主持人赵普与陈涓就腊月二十九这天，全国南方和北方都会制作精美面食这个话题为切入点展开。赵普向观众介绍北方制作各种各样的馒头来寓意吉祥；陈涓则介绍南方打糍粑的风俗，并用男女声清唱她的主打歌＜打糍粑＞，向观众生动讲述土家族打糍粑的过程及乐趣。陈涓的瞬间变声演唱使主持人和现场导演都很惊讶，相信电视机前的观众也会非常喜欢和接受陈涓独特的歌声。
