7月8日，陈涓随中国文联创作采风团一行19人，按照中宣部指示和中国文联安排，在中国文联副主席、中国曲艺家协会主席、著名评书表演艺术家刘兰芳和中国文联国内联络部副主任、中国文联产业（企业）文联工作委员会副主任兼秘书长周雪静的带领下来到达州市开展创作采风慰问活动。
7月8日晚，陈涓和中国文联创作采风团的艺术家们不辞辛劳和中原油田歌舞团联袂演出主题为《普光情》的歌舞晚会在达州市中心广场演艺中心激情上演。陈涓身着经典男女土家族演出服，第十一个上场，演唱湖北歌曲《清江的女儿土家的妹》，现场掌声随着陈涓的男声女声互换时热烈响起，一曲唱完，观众掌声雷鸣、大声要求陈涓再给大家加唱一曲，陈涓就笑吟吟的答应热情的观众，又为达州观众献上湖北土家族民歌《新伙计歌》，因为湖北和四川的语系比较相近，所以幽默诙谐歌词达州的观众都能理解，大家随着陈涓的歌曲节奏打着拍子，陶醉在这美妙的歌声中。
晚会上，年近70的中国文联副主席、中国曲艺家协会主席、著名评书表演艺术家刘兰芳的评书表演《康熙买马》向观众展示了语言的迷人魅力。来自二炮文工团的著名歌唱演员金波演唱的《当兵的兄弟》，海政文工团著名歌唱演员霍勇演唱的《滚滚长江东逝水》），二炮文工团的著名歌唱演员张华敏演唱的《山丹丹开花红艳艳》，空政文工团著名相声演员韩冰、刘畅表演的幽默诙谐的相声，使晚会高潮迭起，欢笑与掌声此起彼伏。
